COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANTS
OWNER AND SENIOR CONSULTANT:
Michael H. Borsuk, B.E.E. City University of New York, M.S.E.E. Stanford University is owner and principal consultant of M BORSUK & ASSOCIATES, a communications consultant firm specializing in computer local area and wide area networks, fiber optics, and specialized radio and video communications systems. He has a wide range of technical and business experience in systems engineering and management issue resolution involving telecommunications and various other communications technologies. Mike has held design, engineering staff, and management positions with Bell Laboratories and AT&T, helped start Raycom Systems, Inc. and co-founded Niwot Networks, Inc. Mike also has served as an expert witness in technical litigation in suits involving video system design, product management and telecommunications. During his design days, Mike was granted three patents in television transmission systems design was appointed to the adjunct faculties at the University of Colorado, Boulder and the University College, University of Denver. For the last 15 years, Mike has taught graduate courses in the Telecommunications and Computer Information Systems Divisions at DU in electronic communications systems, fiber optics, television technology, and computer networking. He developed graduate telecommunications classes in fiber optics, computer networking, and a new course in video systems technology, currently schedule for University of Colorado/Boulder for Summer, 2002.
Mike has traveled extensively and since 1994 has been engaged as Enrichment Lecturer on month long cruises for Radisson Seven Seas Cruise Lines in Europe and from the Middle East to the Orient where he lectured on computer systems, the Internet, astronomy, and other technical subjects and has taught computer classes for Crystal Cruises' "Computer University at Sea" during a recent Panama Canal transit. Mike is a licensed instrument pilot and is currently president of the Rocky Mountain VHF Society and past Chairman of BCARES, a Boulder County, Colorado emergency communications assistance group in direct support of the Boulder County Sheriffs Department.
ASSOCIATE SENIOR CONSULTANTS:
In additional to Mike, the Company has agreements with a number of additional independent consultants in the Boulder/Denver area providing additional expertise and assistance. Included are experts in the areas of the business aspects of the telecommunications industry, electronic communications systems designs, wireless communications technology, and wide-area networking systems. These consultants are brought in to assist in their specific areas when appropriate. Michael D. Borenstein, B.S.E.E. University of Wisconsin, M.S.E.E. Colorado State University. Mike has 22 years with Granville-Phillips Co., world-class manufacturer of industrial high and ultra-high vacuum instrumentation. He has provided design, development, and manufacturing support of vacuum transducers and electronic instruments as engineering manager and most recently V.P. of Engineering. Previously 8 years with Martin-Marietta Aerospace: electronic engineer responsible for development and testing of hybrid microcircuits used in manned space missions, unmanned planetary exploration probes, and satellites. Experienced at design, construction, and maintenance of radio communications systems and equipment. Mike has television technical broadcast experience and holds a General (formally First-Class) radiotelephone license.
Paul N. Browne, B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E University of Kansas. Paul retired from AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1989 after a 24-year career as a circuit design engineer and system design manager. His work included the design of color television systems for video-telephone applications, the development of public telephones, and the design of large business switching systems. Since 1990 he has contracted with several high technology firms in the Boulder area to recruit engineers, physicists, and marketing specialists. Other consulting work has included video-conference system planning, voice-mail system administration, telephone fraud analysis, and market survey design and analysis. He has taught in the University College program at Denver University.
Daniel J. Callahan, B.E.E Manhattan College heads CalTech Corporation, a telecommunications consulting firm. He also serves as Director, Program Development at University College at the University of Denver. At the University he previously directed the telecommunications program and the information technologies division. Previously, he directed divisions at AT&T and the Southern New England Telephone Company with responsibilities for customer premises systems, voice and data networks, and wireless communications systems.
